Gérard Cohen was appointed CEO of HSBC Private Bank Monaco formerly Republic National Bank of New York in 1991.

He is a member of the Executive Committee HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) Holdings and a member of Conseil de Surveillance HSBC Private Bank (France).

Before becoming CEO, Mr Cohen was the Head of Republic National Bank of New York (Luxembourg) and Safra Luxembourg.

He has always supported projects in the arts and education. He founded the International School of Monaco and continues to be its Chairman.

He is currently:

-         Member of the International Director Council of the Guggenheim Museum, New York

-         Member of the International Director Council of the Tate Modern Museum, London

-         Director of Helmut Newton Foundation, Berlin

-         Director of the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco,

-         Director of Action Innocence, Monaco

-         Director of Princess Grace Foundation, New York

In November 2008, he was presented with the prestigious honour “Chevalier de l’Ordre de Saint-Charles” by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.
